Hill & Gully Riddim 80s,90s Mashup Best of 80s,90s Dancehall Inna 2026 Hill & Gully Style
Hill an’ Gully Rider is a traditional 19th-century Jamaican folk and mento song. It was revived as a dancehall “riddim” in late April 2026 by Stephen ”Di Genuis” McGregor.

The 2026 “Hill & Gully Riddim” produced by Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor has quickly become one of the biggest talking points in dancehall this year. Blending classic Jamaican folk and mento influences with modern dancehall energy, Di Genius created a riddim that pays homage to Jamaica’s cultural roots while still sounding fresh enough for today’s streets, parties, and playlists.
Inspired by the traditional Jamaican folk song “Hill and Gully Rider,” the project reintroduces a timeless piece of Jamaican heritage to a new generation. Di Genius explained that he wanted to dive deeper into Jamaican culture and merge old-school mento vibes with the sound of modern dancehall. The result is a powerful fusion of live cultural energy, catchy hooks, and hard-hitting rhythms that immediately grabbed the attention of fans across Jamaica and the Caribbean.
